Back from HOOT!
Well, I made it back after a fun journey just to get there. Thanks Mom for lending me a vehicle when my brakes went out. Where would we be without our mommies, lol!
The show was a great success for me, by-passing previous year’s shows by quite a bit.
My magazine articles in Painting magazine this month, the Oct. issue, helped the sales.
I had the best of neighbors with Deb Malewski on one side…she is so much fun! On the other was the Pinnilli booth I share with Micky Elkin and on Pinnilli’s side was a booth called Love to Splatter! The two ladies there featured a new splattering tool which is sure to make my life easier and I recommend you give it a try. www.lovetosplatter.com
Overall, I was inspired by so many other booths there. RocLon, (Drapery lining) seemed to be the ‘new’ surface at this show. My partner, Micky, had a fun table runner and placemat pattern painted on it. I came right home and bought some, just gotta try it. I had hoped to blog while I was there but my laptop refused to connect to the free internet at the Drury. (Very nice hotel! I highly recommend it.) I am going to try to post some of my new patterns below… feel free to check the website if you are interested in purchasing. www.oilcreekoriginals.com
More to come….
